What is in the Playgrounds pack
Playgrounds gives you 102 separate component models and 12 assemblies. The components are the parts; the assemblies are complete examples that show how they fit together. So you can buy it as a kit or as a set of ready layouts.
The range covers the usual equipment: towers, platforms, slides (straight, spiral, enclosed, embankment), swings and seats, climbing nets, walls and domes, roundabouts, a seesaw, a spring rider and a zipwire. Then the less obvious bits: rope tunnels, sand and water play, a play boat, a train and a castle, sensory and musical panels. Surfacing is covered too (rubber and bark), plus fencing and gates.
Scale is consistent. The tallest component is the enclosed slide at 3.752 m, and the widest is the zipwire at 8.17 m across. 1 unit equals 1 metre, so nothing needs rescaling.
Scenes you can build with it
Start with the assemblies, because they show the intent. There's a finished Community playground with surfacing, fencing, benches and trees, a Toddler play garden, an Inclusive play courtyard, an Imagination village and a Modular adventure playground. Also Tall towers and twisting slides, Willow and woodland play, and a Digging and water laboratory.
The names tell you the scene types. A park or estate visualisation can lift the Enclosed play garden straight in. A community space mock-up might use the Inclusive play courtyard, then swap a few parts. A game level wants the Climbing and obstacle trail, or the Natural adventure trail for something less formal.
If you'd rather build from scratch, the water set is a good example of how the parts combine. Channel straight, channel corner, channel junction, channel end and channel dam snap into a run, and the hand pump, water wheel and tipping bucket sit alongside. The tags point to London and the UK in the 2020s, all exterior, so it suits a contemporary British park.
How the models are made
Every model ships as GLB (glTF 2.0 binary) at high, medium and low detail. Each comes Meshopt-compressed, with uncompressed copies as well. Textures are embedded in every model, so there's no separate image folder to lose track of.
High-detail triangle counts run from 76 to 12,204 per model. That's a wide spread, and it matters. A small part like a bark tile is cheap; the elaborate pieces cost more. Use the medium and low versions for distance, or for scenes with many instances.
The download also includes the kit runtime and a generator. Call playgrounds({ layout }) to produce its playground layouts in code (every assembly except the hand-composed finished scene), then edit them part by part. So you don't have to place 40 components by hand to get started. Generate, then adjust.
The licence is straightforward. Commercial games, apps, websites, visualisations and client work are all allowed. Reselling or redistributing the model files is not.
Where it stops, and what to pair it with
Playgrounds is playground equipment and surfaces, and that's all. It won't give you a full park. There are no pitches, no courts, no sports markings, and the fencing here is play fencing, built to enclose a play area.
If your scene needs the wider site, the sister pack in the same Parks, play and sport range is Community sports and courts. Put the two together and you get play areas beside the courts and pitches that usually sit near them.
Also worth saying: the pack is a poor fit for anything outside its tags. It's exterior, UK-flavoured and contemporary. An interior soft-play centre or a period setting would need other assets.
Best for parks and estates, and community spaces. If that's your scene, the fit is good.

Questions
What is in the Playgrounds pack?
102 component models, each as high, medium and low detail GLB files (a 39.8 MB zip, with uncompressed copies), plus 12 assembly files that place those models into the complete examples shown on this page and a small three.js loader for them. The zip also carries the 5 parts from other packs that its assemblies use, so it is self-contained, and the licence.
How many triangles are the models?
Between 76 and 12,204 triangles at the high detail level. Each model's page lists the count for every level.
Can I use them in a commercial project?
Yes. The licence covers commercial games, apps, websites, visualisations and client work. You cannot resell or redistribute the model files themselves. See the licence page for the full terms.
